Garvin still around

Lost among all the cuts of the past week and the various roster moves is the fact kick returner Michael Ray Garvin, who is recovering from knee surgery, remains on the team. Garvin was waived/injured in the first round of cuts after the third preseason game, giving other teams a chance to claim him. No one did, so the Cardinals — rather than do an injury settlement, at least at this point — moved him to injured reserve, where he is now along with linebacker Cody Brown (wrist) and fullback Justin Green (knee). Does Garvin last the season there? There’s always a chance he doesn’t and that the team will come to some kind of settlement with him. But for now, he is still Cardinals’ property.
