Obviously I want the Cards to win this weekend and I expect them to win. But the way the Titans are playing, I don’t think it’s disrespectful to the Cards to think the Titans could beat them at home.

The Patriots-Dolphins game is moved into the afternoon.

The Cards have a chance to go where no AZ Cards team has gone before 13-3. If that happens and the Vikes end up 13-3 and the Saints end up 14-2 or 13-3 the NFC playoffs are going to be huge. And the Cards will be playing at home, now that is Big Time.

First they must win in Tennessee! Otherwise, the SNF pregame will be all about the 10-1 Vikings and not the 7-4 Cards! But if the Cards are 8-3 and a win over the Vikes puts them at 9-3 and the Vikes at 10-2. That makes them relevant in the pregame hype. Who wins head to head will probably mean who has home field advantage in the playoffs.

Go Cards! If you can win your next three games you will get all of the attention you want and more. Fluke will no longer be associated with last years Super Bowl. Go Cards the AZ fans deserve it after 20 years of humiliation.

But when the Vikings do come to town, let’s keep those red pants on. We won our last home game with the red bottoms and we lost last year’s week 15 home game against the Vikings wearing the white bottoms. It’s all in the head with this team, but they seem to be moving beyond that liability with each additional win. I’ll be paying close attention to the team’s energy level in Tennessee. It’s not a classic trap door game, but pretty darn close. It’s probably a good thing Tennessee is improving a bit. A 4-6 team is going to get more respect than a 1-9 team.

Your analysis of the situation is spot-on, especially regarding the Whizard of Az. The guy is really an excellent (and cagey) game-planner. This Vikes game could very likely be a second round playoff preview and Whiz will show Minnesota only just as much as he wants them to see.
