Warner practices; Davis out 4-to-6 weeks

Posted by Darren Urban on November 25, 2009 – 1:44 pm

The good news was that QB Kurt Warner practiced today, although he’s still doing the day-by-day thing. Warner took all his normal reps and I’d still expect him to play barring setbacks. The same can’t be said for up-and-coming LB Will Davis, whose troublesome knee turned out to have a torn meniscus. Davis already had surgery but is out 4-to-6 weeks (hello Monty Beisel!).

Warner passed all his tests Tuesday, for those wondering.

CB Bryant McFadden (knee) was back in a limited capacity, but he should be OK I believe. LB Chike Okeafor was also back at practice.

I’ll have more in a notebook posted on the home page ASAP.

Wow. Monty is manna from heaven. We got lucky, again, on injuries…Kurt ok and getting Beisel…gotta have some luck to win it all.

I hope Monty is ready for his job interview for a starting position. CJ is going to be a task for any LB.

ya huge bummer to lose will right now…we need him very much and he is a beast right now…good draft choice by the cards just sux to lose him to injury..lets just hope biesel can perform the way will was which i doubt…

Will was playing well especially for a rookie. Its unfortunate that happened. Monty Beisel is a good pickup for st and maybe a little d but he’s more of an inside lb than an outside lb in our 3-4. Matt Roth just got cut from Miami. Cards need to pick him up off waivers NOW!!!

Darren, doing a great job. BTW, what happened to Cards Chatter shows? Haven’t seen any in a few weeks.

    Paul –

We decided Cards Chatter was a work in progress and we want to tweak it before going forward. I hope it eventually returns, but we need to have time to plan some stuff out and that’s not happening during the season. Always nice to know we have a fan though.

LB’s need to spy Young and worry about Scaife and Crumpler, 9-0 will pick up Johnson. I’m confident in Leinart. I am positive he will play well if Kurt is a little fuzzy. 8-3 for the Sunday night showdown!
