Cards doing well in Pro Bowl voting

Posted by Darren Urban on December 1, 2009 – 3:23 pm

Fan voting is only a third of the Pro Bowl equation, and ultimately, the coaches and players seem to have a larger say. But as of now, seven Cards rank in the top five at their positions in the voting, including a pair of players that are tops at their respective positions: WR Larry Fitzgerald and SS Adrian Wilson.

The good news is two new players have entered the fray since the last time I saw the totals: Kurt Warner, who is now fourth among quarterbacks, and Ben Graham, fifth among punters (but, as I have said, deserves the punting spot). Antrel Rolle dropped from second to third among free safeties, while CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and DT Darnell Dockett remain fourth at their positions (Dockett has to move up, right?).

Of course, anyone who wants to vote can do it right here.

Speaking of voting, while LaRod Stephens-Howling already won the NFC special teams award this week, the Hyphen is also up for the Pepsi rookie of the week award, and that’s strictly based on this fan vote right here.

How ’bout just giving Tim the nickname ‘Cecil’. As Cards fans, we can make up some convoluted tie-in with hard hitting former Cardinal Chuck Cecil. and we would have..

    BEANIE and CECIL!
    :D
