Doucet to play

Posted by Darren Urban on August 28, 2010 – 4:25 pm

The Cardinals will use wide receiver Early Doucet tonight on about 10 plays as he works back from his abdomen injury, and the inactive players are expected: WR Andre Roberts (shoulder), WR Larry Fitzgerald (knee), WR Darren Mougey (hand), TE Ben Patrick (knee), LB Gerald Hayes (PUP-back) and LB O’Brien Schofield (PUP-knee).

Stephen Williams is still starting for Fitz, while LB Daryl Washington and CB Greg Toler will officially start.

You know J. Stewart from SU would have been available to play. Since all your WR are down.

    Darren,
I’m watching in the third quarter and haven’t seen LSH all game what will be his role this season? Kick returns only.

I can only look at the stat sheet, no tv or radio but it looks like the ground game is improving, Matt and Derek about equal and the defense looks solid. Hang on to the !@#$ Football Beanie! Couple INTs looks good to me. The Bears are who we thought they were lol.

    Darren,

Just curious as to your thoughts of the draft picks from this year making the team (or practice squad) now that pre-season is winding down.

    Kind regards,

    Cris

    Darren,

I was wondering about O’Brien Schofield, will he be able to play at all this season? Will he even be kept on the roster? I think if he is able to come back healthy, he could be a very good pass rusher for the cards.

I expect OB to start the season on PUP. He’ll definitely stick around.

Everyone is gonna be all over the Cards again and be all happy. I only wanted Matt to get more throws, he did. No one knows what the coaching staff is trying to do, we just need to trust whiz and keep believing no matter what. NFC WEST CHAMPS!!

    Darren,

I look forward to the update on the draft picks. Also, what is the word on the TE position, and Byrd specifically? It seems he has gone missing from the news. Did I miss an injury?

    Kind regards,

    Cris

Byrd is probably in trouble, I’d say.
