Ware, Iwebema sit

Posted by Darren Urban on October 10, 2010 – 11:36 am

The Cardinals’ inactives list is out, and safety Matt Ware (ankle) and defensive end Kenny Iwebema (knee) are both out today. That means the three nose tackles are all active — Bryan Robinson, Gabe Watson and Dan Williams — with Robinson’s ability to play defensive end as well. Cornerback Tru McBride is inactive for the first time too, benched for newcomer Brandon McDonald. The rest of the list:

  • WR Steve Breaston (knee)
  • WR Early Doucet (sports hernia)
  • QB John Skelton
  • C Ben Claxton
  • LB Alex Hall

Among the Saints’ inactives are defensive starters CB Tracy Porter and DE Will Smith and RBs Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas.

sucks ware is out. he helps Out a lot in the secondary when wilson blitzes

Does McBride have an injury? Seems like a steep drop from training camp starter to second string behind Toler to 4th on the depth chart following McDonald.
Or is Whiz sending another message?

  3. By AndyStandsUp on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

    *THIRD* on the depth chart.

I think they wanted to see what McDonald can do.

What’s wrong with Skelton? I think we need him since the worthless Maxy(“Hometown Hero/Savior”) Hall already threw an interception. Good Grief Maxy Hall…

Horrible soft touch pass to Jimmy D. Good Grief Maxy…

I love Kurt Warner, he is the best announcer in the world because he graduated from UNI(that’s Iowa) he is so great because he is from Iowa. Iowa players and announcers are the best in the world. I just wish AZ had more Iowa players b/c then we could say they’re ours.

Adams, what a stud. Where has he been? Ooops, he got taken out after only one play, then NOBODY was on Shockey. The Cards defense(if that’s what you want to call them) left him WIDE OPEN.

  9. By cardsalltheway on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

Constanly I hear how Maxy is so confident and the other players have so much confidence in him but why would they when he reads plays off his arm??? He’s had about 4-5 months to learn the plays, can’t the 25 year old think for himself???

  10. By cardsalltheway on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

I think Maxy should take a deep breath before plays instead of after. Okay, so the Cards Head Coach thinks he’s being sneaky playing Beanie Well, congrats Coach, do you know how many young players have already succeded big time around the league since B. Wells was drafted???
It’s amazing how 2nd and 3rd string RB’s are able to run so well against the Cards but the Cards Head Coach has been so relunctant to give B. Wells the ball more often???
It looks like NO Betts is better than B. Wells.
Wow, K. Warner and his “hidden yardage” info. was the best…

I’d like to believe in “Maxy” but I’m not going to for the reason most AZ fans do(he is from Mesa). I don’t care where the AZ QB is from but what I do know is that Maxy isn’t going to last long. Did you see his neck get snapped on that play???

  14. By cardsalltheway on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

Wow, how does a blow to the head(helmet fly off) become a “wind knocked out” of the QB???

  15. By Lone-Eagle on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

I hope Max Hall is okay, if he has concousion like symptoms, by all means bench him for further evaluation. But for HEAVENS sake, don’t put Anderson back in!!!! Put Skelton in the game, you at least drafted him, and he looks far better than Anderson. We might actually have a chance to win this game with Skelton!!!!

  16. By Lone-Eagle on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

Whisenhunt, You are pathetic!!!! Put in SKELTON!!!!! You benched Anderson because he is a crappy QB!!! If youy want to lose this Game, Keep him in!!! If you want a chance to win, Put in Skelton, what are yoy going to lose???? With Anderson the game!!!!

    RE: Skelton

If Whiz put in Skelton, neither Hall or Anderson can play the rest of the game. So let’s not go crazy without knowing the rules.

  18. By brad oneill on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

so far the best cardinals game of the year. I think expecting to lose is good for this team. they seem to be better when they are disrespected.

  20. By Lone-Eagle on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

    OK Darren,
I gotcha, you’re right! I wazs being a little emotional at the time and forgot about that particular rule, however, I still believe that Skelton is a better choice than Anderson, as well as I am glad that Max is Okay!!! I really don’t want to see Anderson back in the game again, unless there is absolutely no other choice! Now if Hall was knockedx out of the game due to concussion, Who do you want playingh???? Anderson or Skelton???? The answer is easy for me!!!!

  21. By Lone-Eagle on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

C’mon DEFENSE!!!!!!! Pull your heads out of your TUCASSES and start playing DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!! They are kicking you a$$eS!!!!! And I mean that literally!!! We needed that. Glad the Defense showed up DRC, Drops the hood and lowers the sickle again. Rhodes, Lennon, Outstanding pick up, Mr Graves. Hats of on the recoveries by Faneca and Touchdown Levi Brown. Game Ball Hall showed a lot of poise and confidence not to mention toughness. I like the way he plays, but he is going to get beat up a lot in this league. Beanie looked ok, but Hightower was non existent. The line still needs some work, but I am happy as as hell at knocking off the champs, taking over 1st place, and seeing the Cardinals put it together. Listening to Chris Berman having a heart attack over this game now, lol

Well the South side of Glendale
Is the baddest part of town
And if you go down there
    You better just beware
Of a man named Levi Brown

    Now Levi more than trouble
You see he stand ’bout six foot four
All the downtown ladies call him Touchdown Maker
All the men just call him Sir

And it’s bad, bad Levi Brown
The baddest man in the whole damned town
    Badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog

Three interceptions, one brought to the house to seal the deal, and a fumble brought to the house… Our defense did not let us down at all!

  38. By Cali Mark on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

Max Hall is the man…..made some rookie mistakes but made some plays too against the defending champs and no Doucet, Breaston and the running game wasnt that great either. If he can just stay in one piece he should be good.

  39. By Nick on Oct 10, 2010 | Reply

man why are so many people complaining about Max Hall / Our defense when our defense helped us win the game and it was Max Hall and undfrated rookie that controlled the pace of the game and stood in against defending super bowl chamions.
oh and if your a true cardsalltheway than why complain about the game your supposed to support the team not go against them

And wow to all the people bashing the Cards early on this game… Why was Hall reading off his arm? Because that’s what quarterbacks do.

All you part-time fans should just not post here please, you clog up the blog.

Good win Cardinals, and way to step up defense!

    Woah there cardsalltheway….
First Hall looked a lot better aside from the ugly pick. He looked way more confident and for his first start Id say did a damn good job.

Second, Warner read the plays off his arm as well so…….

Third, If you arent gonna get behind Max who are you gonna get behind? Anderson? Skelton isnt gonna get the start for a while. If he was as good as everyone hopes he would be in not Hall. He can be but isnt ready.

Lastly if your only gonna come in talk trash while were loosing than disappear when we bring it back, whats the point?

I have just finished watching and I can’t believe all these E-Mails from so-called fans. I thought the team showed a tremendous amount of guts and finally displayed that never say die attitude, I thought Max did o.k. he threw only the one int. He could have protected the ball better when running but he made some great throws. He looked especially comfy in the 5 receiver set and I think can only improve. The defence played tough especially in the red zone. Congrats to all. The fans should be proud.

Crow is a terrible thing to eat. It doesn’t taste good and is hard to digest.
But, it’s time to MAN UP and do it.

#1: I predicted the Saints would win 34-17. OOPS
#2: I was sure that the defense would not show up again because they didn’t against two other good teams, Atlanta and San Diego.
#3: I didn’t think that DC Davis could come up with defensive game plans against good teams (and, suggested that he would be gone after this season; he may still depending on whether he can continue today’s good performance)
#4: I didn’t think that Max Hall could manage a game so that he would give the Cards a chance to win.

    BURRRPPPP.
    Does anyone have any MAALOX???

Now, can anyone explain to me why the defensive unit finally decided to play (and, whether they will continue to do so)? I think that they are schizophrenic.

Cardsalltheway- Is it that time of month for you? Wow, you’re all over the map.

Max’s INT- watch the replay… had he taken just a second longer he would have noticed Komar was WIDE OPEN (defender slipped and was down) and he was past the sticks too with no one even close. And, if Fitz made a block it could have gone for 6.

    http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010101009/2010/REG5/saints@cardinals#tab:watch

Way to win the game defense. And how about Mighty Mike Adams? Big tackles and passes defended today (granted the one he missed was against the top WR and it was a TD).

Opposing Offenses- Pick on Toler and Adams all you want to. I’m OK with that.

    Rhodes- Welcome to AZ.

Did anyone else feel a difference in the Sea at todays kickoff? Sure you did- it was a sense of confidence. While you were blogging yourself, ‘alltheway’, the rest of us rose up and celebrated a hard earned victory. The season is going to be brutal so why dont you check back with us when we hang the championship banner…..this year, next year, or ten years from now. Then your user name will be correct. Thank goodness Brown and Fanceca weren’t engaged in blocking so they could cover those fumbles…wait a minute, if they were blocking someone then maybe the fumbles woudn’t have happened in the first place. The excuses for the O’line have been going on for years now.

Who ever fired up the defense, please do it again in two weeks.

Max is going to need these 2 weeks to recover.
