A food drive, Tillman scholars and golf
Posted by on November 11, 2010 – 3:42 pmA few Cardinals-relating happenings you can get involved with:
– The Cardinals and Sagicor Life Insurance have joined St. Mary’s Food Bank for its annual holiday food drive. Wives and girlfriends of players and front-office personnel, along with volunteers and cheerleaders, will man collection points at all five entry gates at University of Phoenix Stadium Sunday prior to the Cards-Seahawks game. Fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and/or money.
– For those who want to help Pat Tillman’s wife, Marie, and the Tillman Foundation (and Darnell Dockett, who is working with Marie Tillman on this cause) build a scholarship fund for military veterans looking to continue their education, you can text “Tillman” to 50555 and make a $10 donation. The money will be added to your phone bill. For full terms, you can check out mGive.org/t. Not a bad way to help on Veterans Day.
– The annual Cardinals Cup celebrity golf tourney, benefiting Cardinals Charities, is Dec. 13 at Whirlwind Golf Club. You can enter yourself or a foursome to play with a celebrity and get lots of cool stuff. Deadline to enter is Nov. 30. For more information, call 602-379-1826 or e-mail alumni@cardinals.nfl.net.

Hey Darren—Nice to see the Card’s involved in charity event’s and honoring those on Veteran’s Day.
I think as fans and players we take for granted what we have today. Nice to take some time out to honor those who fought for our country! Good stuff!–Go Card’s
