Beanie’s Hall of Fame Game reminder

Posted by Darren Urban on July 12, 2012 – 9:55 am

You know, just in case you weren’t aware that the Cardinals’ first training camp practice is a mere 13 days away, that the Red-White practice is only 16 days away, well, Beanie Wells has a video out to remind you the Cards’ first game of 2012 — the Hall of Fame tilt against the Saints, who won’t have their coach and might not have their quarterback — is only 24 days away.

Dang. Where does the offseason go?

(And how much will Beanie be able to do in camp at that point?)

Yes…thank you Beanie you aren’t the only one counting down. While this year’s HOF Game is only and exhibition game, it will still be fun to play the Saints, who, with or without their coach and Drew, still have some of the best talent in the league. Can’t wait to see our guys against Jimmy Graham, best TE around who plays with that WOW factor a lot like Fitz , or Darren Sproles,Marqus Colston, Roman Harper, Akeim Hicks, Pierre Thomas… It’s going to be a wealth of talent on the field from both sides…entertainment at it’s best! GO CARDS!

Beanie was a stud last year. He should have silenced some of the critics with the way he played through pain and injury last year. Hope he and Williams come back strong this year to be a 2 headed monster. Darren whats your opinion on bringing in Cedric Benson as a backup in case of delay of Beanie and Williams playing?

    Mike in Mesa –

    RE: Benson

If the Cards bring in a vet, I’d think it’d be along the timeline like Chester Taylor last year — i.e., we’d be at the end of camp and the Cards would be in a jam injury-wise. Right now, I don’t see it. We have been told over and over Beanie and Williams will be ready. If they are, the Cards aren’t signing anyone.

Well now they have their cool Brees. The HOF Game now that the Saints have their QB will make for an even better assessment tool to see how we stack up…personally, I believe we can take em if the team has the desire. Maybe Brees will still be feeling a little sore from the knife in the back, and the 100M, instead of being motivation will make him complacent…still, CARD NEED TO FLY HIGH!
