Chuck1,

but with Manning in Arizona, would our O-Line give up as many hits and sacks? Unlike the Tootsie Roll Pop that takes three licks to get to the center, the world will never know.

Being a Tennessee fan, I've followed Manning for some time and wouldn't want him subject to punishment, but if he really wanted serious O-Line protection, why didn't he pursue Buffalo? I think they would've given him the best AFC chance at another ring. I wonder how huge a factor it was that Eli plays NFC.

Anyway, I agree the punishment allowed to our QB's is devastating and at the same time wonder if Manning, who reads defenses like a second grade book would've made our O-Line better.

I don't know and so I enjoy the QB's we have. Trusting our last game is an indication of improved play.

I would love to be in a division were the only losses any team receives is to each other. Then even when we have a losing season, everyone would keep talking about how we're the best (Can you here me Dallas?).

Seriously, if our division elevated to this level of play, we would all improve. Let the road to the Super Bowl come through the NFC West from now on.

I still believe we can hit the playoffs and if we do, we will be re-energized and go all the way. We just need 6 of the next 7 (maybe all 7).

It's hard to go to the Big Dance two years in a row, so we need to focus on this year. Make a deep run next year and go again the next. Can you imagine home field advantage in that Super Bowl? I can and it is sweet.

Wondering why

It always puzzles me when people post trades like this. (forget the deadline has passed)
So, why would you want to get rid of Beanie? You say because he is not durable, he can't stay healthy and we need a runningback who stays healthy.

So, knowing that, why would another team trade for him? The other teams know the same stuff. And if you were able to find someone to trade with, what do you really think they would give us? A late round pick?

So, what it comes down to is, are we ready to dump Beanie? I think many posters would say yes. I think the frustration of a first rounder being banged up all the time is mounting.

Beanie is huge and runs upright. There is a lot of him to hit , opposed to a guy like Michael Turner who is all knees and shoulders. With this running style, he his always going to be banged up. One option is to use him more as a guy like Bettis at the end or how tampa is using Blount, to close out games. The other, is to release him at the end of the year. That will be a tough call but ultimately, if you can't be on the field, it is hard to keep you.

Unfortunately, Ryan Williams ended up being injured 2 years in a row and, although I love his spirit, it is becoming more difficult to count on him. There are plenty of good backs in the draft and the cards should spend a middle to late rounder on one. Or keep one eye open on New Orleans. They barely use Ingram, Ivory looks good and Pierre is the starter. Not to mention Sproles. I wonder if Ingram can be had for a middle round pick next year? Ingrams and LSH as our 1-2 punch. I like the sound of that.

Now I don’t want to rail on and on about certain teams (Steelers) getting calls that greatly aide their cause each week…..So I’ll only briefly get on my soapbox and point out that the Steelers received three calls on MNF last night, all on 3rd down and all resulting in a first down that allowed them to extend a drive that ultimately resulted in a FG (to make it 13-10 at the time)….They did all of this without really having to make a single play. One of the calls was unsportsmanlike conduct which was just the Chiefs being stupid and doing a choreographed celebration….The others were highly questionable pass interference and roughing the passer calls. Teams do not even have to make a play to win anymore and it is seemingly getting worse all the time….I apologize for my same rant and now return you to your comment board.

Andre just needs to accept that in the next couple of years he could be the slot guy... That is if Floyd develops like we all hope.

I think he just needs to emulate Wes Welker. That guy is small and quick just like Roberts and still demands attention.
