"...just think how it feels to be a 9er fan today and wake up to the reality..."

Really? You mean, the reality that your team will probably win the division and has a great chance to go on to a Super Bowl? Yeah, that would really suck, wouldn't it? I'd MUCH rather be Cardinals fan right now...

ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS???????? Gotta be one of THE most ridiculous slants I've ever heard.

DON'T FIRE WHIZ MR.B! Coach has been the best coach we've had in forever...what we need is a new OC and GM. Get Norv Turner or Kurt Warner... Kurt can thank Whiz and the Cards for giving him the opportunity for a second career when he was on his way to retirement and nobody else wanted him. He says he would like to coach some day so why not let him start out coaching QBs? A coach can only make do with the players he's given and your fan base wouldn't be happy with Vince Lombardi himself...they are so much more knowledgeable! I believe in my team through good times and in bad, and see the Seahags as a disgrace and total fraud...the real deal?.. CHILD PLEASE? For all the naysayers...just think how it must feel to be a 9er fan today and having to wake up to the reality that your team isn't who everyone told you they were and just got fed a 30 burger by a team you were suppose to beat! OMG...with one game left you could still even lose that game to the Arizona Cards! GO CARDS!

Whatever. Just one day closer to the end of the Whisenhunt era, or so I hope. As far as I'm concerned, it may as well be one day closer to the end of the Beanie Wells era, too. Not like we're benefitting from either one at this point. The sooner we start turning some of these pages, the better.

I swear, how come WE never seem to find the Alfred Morris's or the Russell Wilson's???

You can't make chicken salad out of chicken ____ (you know the rest!). Graves needs to go! The lack of offensive talent on this team is absurd. If we can get a new GM that knows how to identify talent, work quickly and efficiently during Free Agency, and structure player contracts within the salary cap to position the Cards to succeed, we can win in a short period of time. We have a good core group of guys, but when you make mistakes with QB and O-Line, then you've doomed a team. If someone can do a better job of identifying and drafting players and just let Whiz coach, the Cards will be just fine. Not sure if Steve Keim should share in this blame (or is a big reason for it), or if he has appropriately identified the talent and has simply been trumped for final say on draft day. Wishe we knew what the ranking of players looked like between Graves, Whiz, and Keim. That would help explain a lot to the fans.

As my prediction for a 4-12 season has turned into a more respectable 5-11 season (said with extreme sarcasm), I can't help but think back to the day when the Cards announced they had offered Pete Carroll the head coaching job and he turned it down to stay at USC. Of course the very next season he signed with Seattle and who can blame him? This offensive mess the Cards have created through bad luck, bad drafting and bad signing is going to be very difficult to fix. As a fan, I want to hear they have dumped the backfield, 2/3 of the offensive line, their tight ends and maybe even a couple of the receivers and started all over again. Since that is highly unlikely, I suppose we have to hope that a signing or two, plus a decent draft and maybe even a trade will give us a little more to cheer about next year. Make the playoffs in the near future? Forget about it. Even the Rams are moving ahead of us. Have you ever noticed that the Cards never have a bad enough season to be able to choose a franchise QB with a #1 or #2 pick? Or they have a bad season in a year when there are very few quality QBs coming out of college? Like this year. Go figure.

If Whiz is fired (which I doubt will happen), Michael should hire Bill O'Brien, the coach of Penn State.

My reason: What is the problem with the Cards? IT'S THE OFFENSE!!! The Cards need a proven results-oriented offensive-minded coach.

O'Brien has proven that he can produce a powerful offense, most recently for the Patriots, for whom he coached for five years, and Penn State. In 2012, he took an average (at best) QB at Penn State, and improved him to the point that he was a finalist for Walk-on of the Year. O'Brien, in 2012, was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year by both the media and the coaches. On December 8, 2012, O'Brien was named the national coach of the year by ESPN AND was second, by AP, to Coach Kelly of Notre Dame for Coach of the Year.

For those fans who are interested, here is his resume from Wikipedia. It's very impressive. He also has about 10 years of experience coaching offense positions at colleges.

What was up with Raiders QB Merry-Go-Round ? Maybe Cards can make a play for Carson Palmer? Also, some current back-up QBs that would all be up-grades to what we have: Mike Vick, Alex Smith, Kyle Orton, Byron Leftwich, Matt Moore, Terrelle Pryor, Kirk Cousins, Matt Cassell, Matt Hasselback, Jason Campbell. . . Don't know about contract situations but cant the Cards go after any of these guys? With the solid Defense that we have all we need is a game manager who can move the chains and make some big throws when necessary, of course without throwing any pick 6s Mr. Whisenhunt, Lets go front office. Wake Up!! This team is just one solid NFL QB away from playing the big boys. Get something done !!
