I really do not recall watching an offense as completely ineffective as this one. You just have no chance without a solid QB. Understand I am not excusing the coaching staff; play calling, drafting, personnel decisions or anything else….All I am saying is that our QB situation is absolutely absurd with Kolb out. No matter what you think of Kevin Kolb he is at least a viable NFL QB. Skelton, Lindley and Hoyer are just not NFL level performers. No matter who is the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals in 2013 the QB situation must change drastically or this team will be bad once again. I completely disagree with those that believe this team is only a couple of pieces away from being winners, this is a bad football team in my estimation but without better play under center it is a terrible football team.

thankfully this miserable season is almost over and hopefully we will very soon know what changes are in store for the upcoming season. i don't care for whiz as head coach but i expect him to be given the opportunity to coach one more year. hopefully he will balk at not receiving an extension and he will leave of his own accord. some have suggested that kolb will have to re-structure his contract to stay here. but, why would he? he is in the driver's seat here unless someone like alex smith is signed as a free agent. if we let kolb go and don't sign a credible free agent quarterback then we are left with lindley and hoyer (skelton is already history). that's not acceptable. so why would kolb take less money? if he does, he needs a new agent. and, one more thing before i go away until september. i think russ grimm has been the target of more negative comments than anyone. from afar, i think he has done a good job and the offensive line has shown improvement and just maybe there is a glimmer of hope there for next year. i hope grimm survives the changes that are coming. happy new year everyone. hope to read you in september.

SeeingRed ,

if you'd noticed, Cactus Jeff's comments were a response to Sarah's commentary on an article by Dan Bickley comparing our Coach to President Bush.

I have to say I feel Coach Whizenhunt has done a better job with our team than either of the two Presidents refered to have done for our country. But I'm not here to discuss politics, rather football.

As to Cactus Jeff's comments, I laughed at the last line especially. I read it as good natured fun between two friends who have differing oppinions while sharing the same passion (political difference, I differ than both apparently, Cardinals passion, were on the same page.)

Sarah, I hope you enjoyed Cactus Jeff's litterary response and laughed as I did.

To all, I appreciate Darren's work to keep politics out, they creep in from time to time and as long as we all realize were friends then differences can be a strength. In fact, there are times when someone differs 179° from me (we're Cardinals fans so we can never be completely opposite) and because I've read there posts a hundred times or more over the years, I have to ask myself if my differeing friend is right and I'm wrong and I look at their comments, research and sometimes modify my views (a recent comment regarding my assessment of Charlie Batch being the most recent such event.)

Friends can disagree, but friends can never offend.

I hope this comes across as intended, I don't feel I'm calling anyone out, please don't take this as such. I feel to say I enjoy all the comments here. We're all Cardinals fans (even the occasional Cowboy fan is really a Cardinals fan, they've just been blinded over the years and hopefully will come around,) We're all passionate about this team. We all want what the coaches and players want, more wins than losses (ok, so we want 19 wins every season.)

Let us disagree as to who should start, coach, be drafted, QB whatever. Let us always remember we share the same passion for our team, the Cardinals.

Again, should've seen the longer post (HaHa.)

Sarah, I'd love to see a rewrite of Cactus Jeff's post, I enjoy a good laugh.

On the count of three let's say it together.

One...Two...Three

Go Cards! and beat those Niners!

I have not had that discussion. As for Keim's background, he was a lineman in college but I've never gotten the sense he was more of an "offensive" or "defensive" guy.
