McCoy??? Needless to say, having Payton Manning as the QB and John Fox as HC and previous HC and now DC Jack DelRio will make anyone look good. Oh yes, he has Hall of Famer Elway to help out, and one of the better Offensive lines in the league anchored by Ryan Clady. If McCoy is successful without the best pieces surrounding him --- he might be a good candidate. Right now, my opinion he is totally untested.

I think Horton could very well be the next coach and he could be a great one I don't know. All I was inferring by my post is that Horton isn't Bidwill's first choice but that doesn't mean he won't be the choice. It just seems like McCoy is the hot candidate with all the teams still looking. I'm more than confident as well, that Keim and Bidwill are doing their research and will make the best out of what they have to choose from.

We are still going with Keim after waiting how long for them to pick him. I dont think time has anything to do with them picking a HC. They just want to have a look at other names before they dive right into the first coach they look at, like KC. I think they will still pick Horton, Bidwills just want to be thorough.

RE: "Top three"

I guess I would be hesitant in think that just because those were the first three names mentioned they would be the top three candidates.

Sorry Darren,

I didn't mean that I was getting that feeling from your article. I was merely guessing from the lack of a decision yet, that Horton was probably not their first choice. if he wad then he probably would've already been hired.

I'm also guessing and it's just a guess that Gruden probably isn't their first choice either. Since the three names given by Bidwill as his top three choices were Reid, McCoy, and Horton. Then if that is correct that leaves McCoy as the probable front runner. Could I be wrong probably but I didn't want you to think it was your article making me think that.

I don't think the Honey Badger has had problems since living with Patrick Peterson's family, and it would seem that PP is trying to help him enter the NFL, most likely with the Cards. The guy is considered pretty talented and while he is small, if he is fast enough and can stay clean he would most likely be seen as an real asset to most teams...the Saints come to mind.

Williams and Levi continue to rehab. Haven't seen Kolb since season's end. I don't think anyone has had any setbacks.

RE: McCoy

Not sure how you get that McCoy is the front runner. I was just pointing out the rule. It may not impact the Cards at all.

As for McCoy, he has interviewed with the Eagles and Bears. Not sure about the Browns. And technically, no decision can be made before the end of the playoffs but I'm sure there will be a way for the message to get across one way or another.
