Thanks Darren. Lol. Different dynamics, but a bit like never knowing what Beannie's injury is.

Those are fan turn offs. Hard to see the point in hiding the ball, but those are our guys ...

Here is the rule. Any player that looks better than Clowney, we fans are valid in saying "that player is going to be great." Otherwise we are ridiculous passing judgement with limited information. Furthermore, if a player looks like Max Hall we can say "he looks to be a bust" without sounding ridiculous. But any player falling somewhere between the Clowney-Hall eye test rule cannot judged or you will be chastised.

Re: Andy Reid

Just read an article on KTAR.com that explained that Andy Reid wanted no part of Kevin Kolb, prompting him to skip the Arizona interview and subsequently signing on with the Chiefs. This is the same guy that was busy convincing the Cards that Kolb was the savior QB for any suitor and then robbing us of an all star Cornerback and a 2nd round pick. Good riddins he's in KC ; can't wait to lay a good ass kickin on the Chiefs the next time the two teams meet.

@Sarah,

Not disagreeing with your thoughts on Jon Gruden, but here's an interesting stat on head coaches. No head coach, in the history of the league, has coached two different franchises to Super Bowl victories. Probably not the reason we're not looking at him, but some meaningless info to consider when cheering for our next hire.

RE: Horton

Sorry if you we're bothered, but it sure sounded like you were ripping Horton for wanting to be a head coach.

@Billy,

I can't venture a guess on Arians, but Smith, while appealing, isn't a very good fit with what we've kept in place. He's a Tony Dungy disciple, a 4-3, cover 2 guy through and through, which is obviously the polar opposite of the 3-4, blitzburgh defense that Horton learned from LeBeau. I can't see how those two could co-exist philosophically. Plus, once his starting QB went out his team went into a tailspin, which should sound familiar to us Cardinal fans.

Very accomplished coach, but I don't see it as a match here. The more I think about it, the more I'm guessing that McCoy is the #1 choice.

Hearing about Horton reaching out to Norv Turner about the possibility of coming here as OC is really about the ONLY thing I've heard so far that excites me. Well, and the possibility of Juan Castillo as O-line coach as well. I feel like it is all just sitting right there for the taking and we just keep leaving it out there for someone else. Just like we're leaving Lovie Smith out there...

I must say, I find this to be a very interesting situation in that there are SO many coaching vacancies all at once and SO few candidates with any real certainty to them. I swear, it feels like speed dating...where you have a bunch of single people in a room, they pretty much know they HAVE to pick somebody sonner or later, and they're all just running around the room trying to talk to everyone at least once before they do!
