We’ve seen how developing a QB has gone for the last three years (see Skelton and Lindley).
If the Cards are going to draft a QB, it has to be in the first two rounds.

I mean it doesn’t take too much reflection to realize that this organization has a long history of mostly uninterrupted failure on the field and the Bidwill family doesn’t have the best reputation for being “football people”. In fact they have always been viewed as being far more concerned with their bottom line than putting a winning team on the field…..That’s a big reason they are playing in Arizona today rather than in St. Louis…the bottom line. It takes a long time to change the culture of an organization and even longer to change perceptions and that is particularly true when the team is under the same ownership it always has been….I’m always hopeful there will be meanigful change but I’m also skeptical. We’ll see how things line up in 2013 and beyond.

The defense is above average but not dominating. The team as a whole is older than average and lighter than average. It is going to take a great sales job to get McCoy to seriously consider taking this position. Whoever the coach is (Horton?) is going to need time and fan patience—this is a rebuild not a retool, and hopefully Keim and M Bidwill know that, despite their public comments otherwise.
