RE: Wiiliams going to St Louis was close to treason / He had no reason to do that

Really???? I'd say he had a very good reason. What do you think it was like for him, to be one of THE best players of an era at his position and to be stuck in a place where he KNEW there was no chance to play in a Super Bowl??? Do ya think that may have been just a bit frustrating? Please. There is NOTHING wrong with what he did. After dedicating himself - heart, soul, and body - to this team for as long as he did, he deserved a chance to win a Super Bowl. And that was just not gonna happen here. Knowing that, why did he have to give up the only chance he would ever have to be a world champion?

I'm a huge fan of almost 40 years at this point, and I say good for him. I wear his jersey and he is STILL one of my favorite players of all time. And I am glad he got to win a SB, regardless of where it was.

Agreed with John the Draft Guy regarding moving a tackle to guard. Levi Brown is a decent run blocker, and does fairly well with slower moving DLineman. Brown's biggest problem is movement. Faster DE such as Vonn Miller etc.. give Brown all sorts of problems. I said with the movement of Porter to LT --- at least he can be at the point of attack. Brown cannot get to the point of attack when it comes to pass protection against a fast DE. Move him to guard!

Free agency recap past 2 years

Niners: Randy Moss, Mario Manningham, starting C Johnathan Goodwin,, Carlos Rodgers, and Donte Whitner

Cardinals: William Gay, Todd Heap, Darryn Colledge, Adam Snyder, and King

Safe to say all Niners FA's start on the Cardinals, none of the cardinal's FA's start on the Niners. That is 4 or 5 starter advantage on the Niners through FA over past 2 years. Tough for a coach or GM to compete with that kind of disadvantage heading into the draft. Mr Bidwill, please focus on FA! Beat the teams in your division in FA first, then worry about the draft.

Lain,

Everything is possible, but Levi missed last year due to injury. So, it is unlikely.

If I were the Bears, I would Give up a 3rd or maybe a 2nd and switch places with our 3's. Something like that might be more likely.

But I personally think a team that struggled with OLineman shouldn't trade any of the good ones they have away. If you feel strong about the two tackles we have, move someone inside to guard.

We once drafted a LT who left the team and was moved inside to guard and became an all-pro guard for the cowboys. If you feel someone is not a tackle, try him at guard before you dismiss him.
