The rookies know karaoke

Posted by Darren Urban on May 30, 2013 – 10:29 am

A total of 25 of the Cardinals rookies went to Phoenix Children’s Hospital yesterday to bring a little joy to the kids who are there. Thanks to the wonders of technology — and the enterprising PR person Stacey Dillier (@PCHPRgal on Twitter) who recorded this great piece of video goodness — you can see some of the rookies “playing backup” to patient Bethany, who decided to channel her inner Taylor Swift. The players are Jamaal Johnson-Webb (62), Padric Scott (62), Earl Watford (with the giant stuffed dog), Dan Giordano (48, sitting) and Jonathan Cooper (61).

Really glad to see this video and the rookies doing a great job of bringing some good cheer to those kids. Don’t know what kill3r kr3w thinks he’s talking about! “Real Cardinals players” means… what?

The kids knew they were real! DId you see the smiles on the children’s faces. The little girl “glowed” while she was getting autographs.

These children, like vets in hospitals, just thrive on any outside attention and diversion to their days. Believe me, they appreciated the visit and had a good time playing with the players.

Another nice tradition the Cardinal players have – visiting the kids in the hospital.

Ok, I just watched the video. It is a good thing these guys have a job other than singing. The young girl who is the lead singer was good though, she has talent!

I will say this, Padric Scott (62) is built like Two (2) fire plugs, and can still do a 5.0 in the 40 with that Bulk?!? WoW!
I would Not want to be in his way when he needs to make a block or a hole for a RB.

    GO CARDS!!!

I think kill3r kr3w should have sent a real Cardinals fan to write that comment.

nice story about robert gill. with swope’s concussion issues maybe he has a shot, at least for the taxi squad. you have to wonder though why he could not make it in the canadian football league. with their large field (65 yards by 110 yards) he would be tough to cover…..what is the latest on swope?

No matter what the naysayers want to complain about, the neverending HUGE SMILE on the little girl’s face says it all.

Well done, guys. You really made her day! Priceless!
