Are we officially in the most dead part of the offseason? Yes. So today, here’s some talk about Patrick Peterson, cartoon character.
We’ve covered this ground before, last summer (about this time, as a matter of fact), as the NFL unveiled a new kids’ show on Nickelodeon where NFL stars took part by voicing animated avatars of themselves fighting evil villains. Peterson was in an episode titled “Mystery Solved,” which features this official description: “In the exciting conclusion to the Super Bowl cliffhanger, Ricky reveals he had already switched sides and was really working with RZ to stop Wild Card. He earns his NFL Shield Coin and becomes the sixth Guardian as they defeat deadly Termite Blitz Botz that are attacking Canton and they all learn Wild Card’s true identity, and the decade-old secrets that unite them, RZ, and Drop Kick. Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson offers the kids some sound advice.”
Because of course he did.
Nick and the NFL are rerunning a chunk of last season as a run-up to the new episodes. If you want to see Peterson as a cartoon and hear his voice — or if you have some young Cardinals fans in the house — the show will be on July 14 at 8 a.m. Arizona time on Nicktoons (with a number of replays through the week) and on NFL Network July 20 at 5 a.m. Arizona time.
