Fitzgerald, Housler active in Seattle

Posted by Darren Urban on December 22, 2013 – 12:32 pm

As expected, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is active today for the Cardinals after suffering a concussion last week in Tennessee. That’s important, as is tight end Rob Housler (groin) as the Cards need all their weapons. Another interesting twist on today’s inactive list: Quarterback Ryan Lindley is active, meaning all three QBs are up. That is a nod to the gimpy left ankle of Carson Palmer, not that he won’t or can’t play, but more that if he is hit the wrong way and sent out, the Cards would want to make sure they still have two healthy quarterbacks once Drew Stanton was put in the game.

Safety Rashad Johnson (ankle) is indeed inactive, meaning rookie Tony Jefferson is starting. With Lindley up, the “new” inactive is offensive lineman Nate Potter.

The full inactive list is:

– S Rashad Johnson (ankle)

– RB Ryan Williams

– G Earl Watford

– DE Ronald Talley

– LB Dontay Moch

– T Nate Potter

– TE Kory Sperry

Game is now a must win as far as the playoffs are concerned after the NO defense just allowed Carolina to drive 65 yards for a TD in only 32 seconds with no timeouts.

Another lucky win by the Panthers- it has to take the heart out of the Cards today

Will someone please kick Housler’s butt? He is so awful and he has been almost all season. Please draft a new pair of TE’s next year, and put Housler deep on the depth chart…

We just won the first game by a visiting team in 2 years in Seattle, louis. We’re 10-5. Why are you even a fan of this “sorry” football team?

Just watched the game at a sports bar with my Seahawk friend….and this time, HE went home un-happy! WOW!!!!!! WHAT A DAMN GAME!!!!! Defense was UN-BELIEVABLE from start to finish. And Floyd’s catch….again, WOW is all I can say. More later. For now? Just a big happy sigh of satisfaction.

NFC West, consider this a warning!

What a game. 17-10. What has to happen: Win against SF (this will be a war), and Carolina, New Orleans lose.

I am so sick of Housler looking like a total buffoon out there. Balls literally bouncing off his head and touchdowns bouncing off his chest.

He’s the freaking Jose Canseco of football.

    Bench him, please. Yesterday.

Great job defense. Great job with both starting safeties out with recent injuries,
Bruce A. has my vote fro coach of the year again.
Our team deserves to make the playoffs, but if we do not I am still so very proud of them and know next year will also be a great year.
Do you believe it? We beat Seattle in Seattle with Carson throwing 4 interceptions, not all his fault but still 4 interceptions and our D gets us the win.
All I want for Christmas is a victory over the 49ers.

    Go Cards

    Hi Darren,
Whats up with the Washington Congressman Fitzgibbon. As far as I’m concerned, YOU CAN’T FIX STUPID. I think he makes all of Washington State look bad. I have the upmpost respect for the Seahawks and the people of the State of Washington.
As for Mr. Fitzgibbon, his state is not dealing with the illegal issuses as we in Arizona.
    Mr. Fitzgibbon, SHUT UP
