Cardinals add wide receiver

Posted by Darren Urban on July 25, 2014 – 9:29 am

After cutting undrafted rookie receiver Kelsey Pope earlier this week, the Cardinals had a roster spot open. It’s now been filled. The team signed wide receiver Reggie Dunn Friday. Dunn was undrafted out of Utah last year, and has already spent time with the Patriots, Browns, Packers, Dolphins and Steelers in his short time in the NFL. At 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, he’s another of the small, quick guys the Cards have looked at, and he will likely end up being a camp body. Dunn, however, was one of the most successful kickoff return men in college, returning four for touchdowns in 2012 and five in his collegiate career.

The Cardinals are in good shape at receiver, in all actuality. Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, Ted Ginn and John Brown are basically locked into the top four spots, and that doesn’t include what they could get from Jaron Brown, rookie Walt Powell and Brittan Golden.

Um…he was un-drafted last year and he’s already been with 5-6 teams? Doesn’t seem like he is showing much. The Pats were desperate for WR’s last year and the Browns aren’t exactly loaded at that position, either.

    Darren,
When do you think the new weigh-ins will be posted On the website. I am curious to see where some have come in like Ellington, Okefor, and Martin.

I don’t know if it is going to change much if at all.

Most likely just a camp body, as Darren said. I hope the best for all the guys trying to lock down that 5th Receiver spot, but I really liked Jaron Brown last year. I hope he can snag that last spot, he seems to be a very well rounded receiver.

This has probably been addressed, but is John Brown penciled in as the main return man? I cannot wait to see him get on the field!

    Here We Go!!!

It is rather odd to be talking about so many good coaches, players and the depth for the Cardinals at every position, from the HC on down! I am pointing the finger mostly at you Mr. Steve Keim!
It is what you see in teams that win 11-13 games a year almost every year.
This is what Michael Bidwill has worked for a long time and has finally been able to get all the right parts together to have a Winning Season Every Year with home field Playoffs and a few Super Bowls thrown in!

    Why not the Cards?

    GO CARDS!!!

louis – Go back to your bridge, We have a Strict NO TROLLS policy around here. If you can’t accept the fact that Cardinals Will make the playoffs this year by beating out witch ever team that you jumped onto the bandwagon of then that’s your problem. But don’t come here and spwe your garbage at Darren, our team, coaches, players and us true Cardinal fans. It only shows how truly scared of us you really are! No team in the NFC West will go 1-15 especially the Cardinals. So when we are hoisting the Lombardi trophy high into the sky in our own stadium early next year as the ONLY team to ever win a Super Bowl in its home stadium, don’t cry, just remember there is always next year when the SB is in the 49ers new stadium. Lol but then again we will be there to break your heart again as we are prepared for sustained success, unlike the other 31 teams that only think they are.

Oh and please, don’t take my word for it, just wait and be the disappointed, grumpy troll that thought he could really just write out some random numbers and call it the Arizona Cardinals record. Because he wasn’t man enough to just realized they are the big dog in the yard no one is talking about, and trust me when I say, it’s time for this big dog to get his treat!

    Louis,
I will refrain from posting my original comments, I now realize that is what you feed off of, you are successful or consider it a win for you if you ruffle our feathers, or get our blood pressure up and you thrive on negative reply’s to your comments that you post on here, soon enough we all will wise up and just ignore your postings and not reply at all, that would be the best medicine of all for you and a few others, but you could do us all a favor, it will save alot of time for everyone…Dont go away mad, just go away!
    Have a wonderful weekend, Louis.
