Nkemdiche returns to inactive status

Posted by Darren Urban on November 13, 2016 – 12:59 pm

The Cardinals aren’t completely healthy, especially in the secondary, which makes some new players in play today — like safety Christian Bryant, recently elevated from the practice squad. But the defensive line is healthy, so there are changes, including a return to the bench for first-round pick Robert Nkemdiche. Also noteworthy is the fact Ed Stinson, who has finally recovered from his toe, is a healthy scratch today with Xavier Williams active. Newcomer Taylor Boggs, a guard who Bruce Arians said earlier in the week would’ve made the roster out of training camp had he not gotten hurt, is active over rookie Cole Toner.

The full inactive list for the Cardinals:

— WR Chris Hubert

— CB Tharold Simon (ankle)

— S Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder)

— G Cole Toner

— DT Olsen Pierre

— DT Robert Nkemdiche

— DT Ed Stinson

For the 49ers, they have both RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder) and WR Torrey Smith (back) active today, despite questionable status.

Cards are up 20-13 in 3rd qtr. The Cards now have 3 turn-overs and the vibe of the game is shifting to the 49ers. The 49ers are horrible this year.

The Cards are having to use all their might to hold off the 49ers. It really doesn’t look like this is the Cards year this year.

Based on how well the secondary is playing (other than PP), it sure seems as if keeping Christian Marquis would have been a good move.

running game has disappeared. O-line blocking is awful.

Shipley would not be an active player for 31 NFL teams. Watford and Wetzel are back-ups. Iliupi looks hurt, Humphreys needs seasoning.

why can’t our punting team be effective?

Still nursing a 20-13 lead in the 4th. 9ers are winning the field position battle.

Cards were pinned up against their goal line with 8-minutes remaining and did a very nice job of moving the ball to the 50 and chewing up 5-min. then the 4th turn-over of the game ….

Ugh! Not our year this year.

    New offensive play calling.
You can’t pass every down but you can use the wide side of the field.
Split plays, use a Trick play once in awhile.
When passing, discise backfield by leaving one back there.
    Carson muxt movethrow ball away.

    Go big Red,

I’d like to think that Robert Nkemdiche is in the right frame of mind in receiving the wisdom of his locker room mates, and working on his craft, that reflects their collective professionalism….
