After practice
Posted by on August 25, 2009 – 2:02 pmA relatively quiet (yet hot) day today at practice. DRC was absent, excused to take care of a personal issue, but he’ll be back tomorrow. Still sitting out were LB Ali Highsmith (ankle), DE Keilen Dykes (quad), T Elliot Vallejo (kneecap) and QB Brian St. Pierre (back). The Cards also worked out a DE/LB now that Cody Brown is out; a guy named Angelo Craig out of the University of Cincinnati who was in the 2008 draft. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said the Cards will likely work out multiple players to see if they want to sign someone to replace Brown. Don’t forget, the Cards have to cut five players after Friday’s game, so waiting to put Brown on IR might pay off (and then the Cards would only have to release four).
