Q limited today

Posted by Darren Urban on September 10, 2009 – 2:01 pm

Anquan Boldin was limited in his practice today, although coach Ken Whisenhunt said the pulled back on him fairly early and called it a good first step for Q and his hamstring. What that means won’t be known for a while; Whisenhunt even said it was possible the Cards won’t know until Saturday if Boldin will be able to play (and I am willing to bet a good amount Boldin will end up being a gametime decision).

Q is a warrior. He will play if he can. If not, we rest him and let Breaston and Urban loose. I have no problem with that, they are both solid.

That’s true, but is Breaston practicing full?

nwcards — Yes, Breaston practiced full today.

Q shouldn’t play unless he’s 100%, I’d hate to seem him injur himself worse or aggrivate the hamstring to where he’d have to be out even longer. We have many weapons for use out there. I’m actually anxiious to see a lot of run game, and clock eating. 🙂

As long as we have him for the Super Bowl this year.
    Go Cards! All the way

Darren, with Breaston coming off injury will someone else be the pun returner on Sunday? If so, who?

I am going to talk about that in the notebook that will be posted soon. It depends on Q’s status in part.

First off, love the comments part! Second, I would bet that Boldin plays, but in a limited role on Sunday, he is a warrior and just having him on the field frees up others. I don’t expect more than 4-6 catches from him, but I can see him catching a TD. He always owns the 9ers.

I agree with Bigred11, I do think he’ll be on the field.

So i’m watching the Steeler / Titans game right now and man I sure do wish they’d stop showing last year’s Superbowl highlights… it hurts.

Not as painful as having Rob Bironas on your fantasy team. I’m just saying.

What about Early? Is he going to be able to go?

    Probably not this week.

Boldin better sit out this game at least and get to be 100% healthy or he will re-injure that hamstring, if they’re not totally sure on how well it is. I know – I keep re-injuring my hamstrring everytime I think I’m good enough to go on the softball field, but I’m never better enough and I keep re-injuring it. It is very painful injury and you can’t function like you want to, no matter how hard you try – “Boldin can’t be stupid!!!
