DRC practices, Rolle doesn’t

Posted by Darren Urban on October 28, 2009 – 2:04 pm

The Cards had three players unable to practice today, but none of them were cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who sprained his ankle Sunday. DRC admitted he was a little surprised he has gotten that much better that fast — he estimated himself at 85 percent — and he actually practiced fully. Safety Antrel Rolle gutted out a sore foot Sunday and was resting Wednesday. Coach Ken Whisenhunt is hopeful Rolle’s rest will help him later in the week. Defensive end Kenny Iwebema (knee) also sat out — it isn’t considered serious — as did tight end Stephen Spach (ankle).

Wide receiver Anquan Boldin (ankle) remained limited.

Darren, When you say limited with Q did he do more than he did Friday which impressed Whiz so much? It was so impressive seeing him gut it out last game. Kind of shocked he has only scored one TD though.

Hard to tell on Q. Besides, while practice is open, we are not allowed to write about any specifics from practice. I would think the same thing as last week — there is a possibility Q will be limited all week and then have a certain package in the game. But again, we have a long time before kickoff.

Hey Mr.Urban is the team focused this week and put the victory last week behind? It would be nice to get this win because us fans are looking at this as a trap game. Last year Carolina gave us our 3rd lost and they did a year ago and we want the team to be focused for this week.

The only way to know will be to see Sunday. But yes, I think they understand what is at stake.

Darren, I understand completely, thanks for everything you do for us Cards fans. On a side note, my daughter volunteers weekly for the city of Scottsdale working with children with learning disablilities. She asked me if Kurt accepts volunteers for his camps? She would love to help out, she is 14 and really enjoys it. Any info would be great.

Hey Darren- DRC is one of my favorite players, was he going 100% at practice or was he limiting himself? I’m just curious on his performance and how it will impact his coverage on Sunday against the Carolina WRs.

As I noted elsewhere, we aren’t allowed to say exactly what happens in practice. DRC practiced fully according to the injury report.

Darren can you send a message to the team i know the Cards have been playing welll defensively and Offensively but I think the panthers are gonna be after some revenge from the playoffs last season upset. Tell the team not under estimate the panthers come out Fighting from the first snap to the last snap.
