We’re going to file this under we’d-believe-it-when-we’d-see-it, but during a TV appearance by defensive end Darnell Dockett this week on ESPN’s “First Take,” Dockett was asked about a scheduled 10-hour appointment he had scheduled at a tattoo parlor right after the Super Bowl. Apparently, Dockett — who has no shortage of tattoos already — was going to get the Super Bowl logo as a tattoo had the Cardinals won.
And apparently, Dockett planned on having company.
“My head coach, Whisenhunt, said he would get a tattoo too if we had won it, so we actually would have had appointments together getting the Super Bowl image,” Dockett said, adding he was “sure” he could get Whisenhunt to make the same pledge this year.
“He’s a good guy, a great guy to play for and he keeps his word,” Dockett said. “Hopefully I’m going to make that bet with him. Matter of fact, when I get to practice we’re going to sit down and make that bet.”
I haven’t had a chance to ask Whiz about it yet. We’ll do some follow-up work.
