A special Rage and merchandise

Posted by Darren Urban on December 21, 2009 – 10:22 am

With it being Christmas week, the Big Red Rage radio show is at a special night and time this week: Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Majerle’s Sports Grill at Chandler Fashion Center. Bertrand Berry’s guest will be Anquan Boldin, and it will be on live on Sports 620 KTAR to stay ahead of that night’s Suns’ game.

Perhaps if you go you can sport Cards’ division champs swag. Hats and T-shirts are now available at the AZone stores at both University of Phoenix Stadium (near Gate 2) and here at the team’s Tempe facility. The stadium store is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. this week, with the Tempe location open from8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more info, call 623-433-7600.

Speaking of potential holiday gifts, there’s always tickets to Sunday’s Cards-Rams game, which remain available. What better way to wind down the long weekend than to welcome the division champions back home?

My thanks to the folks who run the Cardinals shop on the website. I appreciate the greater variety of division champion apparel.

Darren, I have more of a question than a comment. With the Division and playoffs clinched, and Kurt Warner playing a little off the past 2 weeks, do you expect Wiz to rest him for the final 2 games of the season to get him completely healthy before the playoffs start?

    Buddy —

Kurt might get a little rest, but as I will address in a homepage story later today, the Cards aren’t going to suddenly shut down, including at QB.

I hope the cards dont rest any starters because even though its a very small chance, we still have a shot at the 2nd seed if the stars align.

I for one don’t really think that the rest thing works out that well because the players might come out rusty against Wild Card teams that just played their best to make the playoffs.. The best way to rest Kurt is to really work on honing our run game this next two games so that we’re ready to run hard in the playoffs. We know Kurt turns into a super hero come playoffs but I’d love to see a SOLID run game behind him (even better than last years run). This team’s offense is truly unstopable with both ends firing.
