Q reaches 1,000

Posted by Darren Urban on January 3, 2010 – 3:33 pm

With a 17-yard catch, Anquan Boldin’s second of the game, he has now reached 1,000 yards receiving for the fifth time in his Cardinals’ career. Boldin is at 1,014 yards this season, and I’m not sure he’s going to get many more chances to make catches today. After the DRC scare, I don’t think the Cards want to take many chances. Almost every defender of significance was taken out after the first series of the game and the Cards look like they just want to get this game over with.

Looks like you were wrong Darren… Boldin stayed in and got hurt. So far, Whisenhunt’s approach hasn’t made any sense at all… you play not to get hurt and not only do you get blown out, guys start dropping like flies… DRC and Boldin, wow, great strategy by Whiz and company.

Wrong in what regard? I asked how it should have been played with only 45 active players. Someone has to play.

Any updates on Boldin. Radio said he left limping?

Whiz is out doing what he needs to do today. He is proving yet again how great a coach he is.

Now we just need to resign him!!

Wrong in terms of Boldin coming out after reaching 1,014 yards. Go back and watch the play sequence- Bodlin stayed in after 1,014 and was hurt on a subsequent play.

We’ll see whose approach was better next week between Whisenhunt and McCarthy. This cannot be want Whisenhunt wanted at all. I understand that neither he nor you will admit that, but this must be the worst case scenario- you try to rest key guys and still sustain injuries to DRC, Boldin, and probabaly a few others. While doing so, you get completely shut down and burned by next week’s opponent. Like Howie Long intimiated at halftime, it’s hard to see anything positive the Cardinals take from this game.

Although I don’t expect much to be said, the post game comments should be interesting…

    Hey everyboby,
Them Packers look good, Let’s see what they look like next week when they go against the starters for the entire game, I personally can’t wait. I just wish Q had been taken out after he hit his 1000 yard mark. Please Darren keep us updated on our two key injuries and for cryin out loud, get fitz out of the game!!!
