The two seed gone, expect pull back

Posted by Darren Urban on January 3, 2010 – 2:11 pm

The Vikings won, taking away the chance at a No. 2 seed. The Packers will be coming here next weekend (likely Saturday is the buzz) and the question is if the Cards are the No. 3 or No. 4. If the Eagles win, the Cards are No. 4 behind the Saints, Eagles and Vikings. If the Eagles lose  and the Cards win, the Cards are No. 3, the Vikings No. 2 and the Cowboys No. 4. If the Cards lose, they are No. 4 period, with the Cowboys jumping to No. 3.

The Cards will do it playing it safe, though. There will be efforts to get Anquan Boldin 1,000 yards (he needs 14) and Larry Fitzgerald 100 catches (he needs six), but the backups will get a lot of work.

I did have that posted initially. It was a mistake here in the press box and, once I left it up for a little while to correct it, I took out the whole thing because it had nothing to do with the game. He was never not going to play. Sorry about the confusion.
