Cardinals license plates available

Posted by Darren Urban on January 13, 2010 – 3:05 pm

At the end of the month — Jan. 31, to be precise — car owners in Arizona will be able to order Cardinals license plates for their vehicles. Pictured below, the cost for a plate would be $25 a year, and $17 of that goes to Cardinals Charities. The plates will be available on-line at www.servicearizona.com, in person at any Motor Vehicle Division office or authorized third-party provider, or via mail by submitting a completed Special Plate Application. For all the information, there’s a FAQ sheet right here.

Unfortunately (my theory is) the number of sales at the time of release will be directly corresponded to whether the Cardinals are still alive in the playoffs at the time, and will increase even more if they win the Super Bowl. It’s still a pretty good idea to make a Cardinal Plate, and for charity’s sake I hope they sell a ton. (hopefully because they win the SB!)

Very cool, can’t wait to get one! Love the black background too.

Which reminds me, I’ve always thought the Cards should do a home black jersey on white pants. But I know how “traditional” Mr. B is so its probably a pipe-dream.

Eric29, black jerseys are a terrible idea. I don’t like it and I wouldn’t buy it. The Cards are white and red, little black in the logo/jersey to begin with. Give me red or white only. Besides, it’s the Cardinals, which means Cardinal Red should be our “dark” color.

The black will stand out more and be more identifiable. It is awesome.

Yeah, the plate displayed says it all about AZ fans. Bunch of zeroes. Come on down south. We’re gonna take real good care of y’all. Cajun cardinal gumbo.
