DRC doubtful with knee injury, Rolle out UPDATE
Posted by on January 16, 2010 – 3:15 pmCB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie just hurt his left knee, it looks like, and was carried off the field, and safety Antrel Rolle isn’t playing right now either (nothing has been officially reported).I will update as soon as I have more information. UPDATE: DRC is doubtful to return with a left knee injury.
Meanwhile, the tackling issues haven’t gotten fixed, and the Saints have a 21-7 lead after an electrifying 46-yard touchdown run (when CB Bryant McFadden missed a tackle at the line of scrimmage). It was the longest playoff run ever for the Saints.

Not good news. The Cards are flat on D. Why isn’t Bill Blitzing more?

Darren,
I don’t expect you to respond to this particular blog, but after watching this game, and all season long, I find it hard to believe that we paid Bryant McFadden 10 million dollars for two years to play that poorly all season. I am not justg talking about this game, I am talking about all season. He has been the weak link. We can only hope and pray that Kurt comes back next season. As for Anquan, I wish you well, because i don’t think the Cardinals realize how outstanding of a Player that they have.Alkl they seem to vare about is Doucet and Breaston. Everyone has pretty much written off Boldin. we need a new offensive coordinator. Whisenhunt is a head coach, let someone else call the plays. Let Whiz Coach the game, let someone else call the offense. One last thing, and this really —— me off!!!! Give tyhe bloody ball to BEANIE more than three times a game!!!! All running backs fumble at one time or another, keep him consistant and I would be willing to bet that he will surprise you. Whiz wants to become a run first team, Prove it!!! Get rid of McFadden, he is terrible. He is making more money than I will most likely ever see in my lifetime, as well as my kids lifetime. He missed so many tackles ,it is sick! I am 40 yearsb old and I could have done better. You all need to pull your heads out and re-sign Q., but i have a feeling that is not going to happen. After all we have Early Doucet that had a good game last week and Steve Breaston, I guess that is all we need. I am a faithful Cardinals Fan but I am also very disappointed in their performance, but only by a few. I wish D.R.C. the best, a very quick recovery. As well as I wish Antrelle Rolle the best. I hope the Cardinldsw take care of things in the off-season, so maybe we can make another run for the Super -Bowl. Good nluck and take care everyone..

Not much to respond to. You’ve made your thoughts pretty clear.

Tell me why I’m wrong here.
Clancy Pendegrast was fired by Whiz because (among other things) his defense gave up too many points (and, couldn’t stop the Steelers on their game winning drive, causing the Cards to lose the SB).
Bill Davis’ defense gave up 90 points in two playoff games. Will there be any consequences for him? I doubt it.
I know. I know. The excuse will be that Davis’ defense ran up against two unstoppable and high powered offenses.
Maybe the problem is the defensive players? If so, say it (they would never do that) and draft or sign better ones.
In any case, I think that the draft should focus on DEFENSE!!!
Oh, and punt the XXXX ball out of bounds instead of to Bush.

Agree on kicking to Bush. When a team has someone as talented as a Devon Hester or a Reggie Bush, why would you EVER give them a chance to beat you? EVER? That’s what the sidelines are for. Inexcusable. Nothing shameful about angling the ball out of bounds on a punt. No one will probably admit it and it doesn’t matter now but Nugent should still be our kicker. You could see last week that Rackers still wasn’t 100 percent on his short kickoffs and missed FG. Yesterday was worse. He just wasn’t ready and Nugent kicked good for us.
