Clark Haggans, radio star

Posted by Darren Urban on July 14, 2010 – 3:38 pm

So I was driving into work this morning when I heard a familiar voice making an attempt to sing some of Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative.”  Turns out it was linebacker Clark Haggans, who was doing a turn as guest host for an absent Ron Wolfley on Sports 620 KTAR’s “Doug and Wolf” show. Not sure singing on the radio is in Haggans’ future (you can determine that for yourself around the 8:05 a.m. mark) but he was efforting.

You know what else he was efforting? A workout. Yes, I am sure you are shocked. Haggans went from the studio after the show ended at 9 and came in to work out. Like he does every day. Very impressive but at this point, you’d expect nothing else from him.

Speaking of on-air work, Darnell Dockett did this podcast the other day too.

I don’t know if Ken Whisenhunt will get a lot of TV time this weekend, but he is going to be playing again in the Tahoe celebrity golf tournament. So, you know, if he kills it out there, he’ll be all over the telecast this weekend. I noticed quarterback Derek Anderson is also taking part. So, would they be paired together? Or would that be awkward?

Darnell was great on espn and gave props to Early Doucet on beibg the break out player this year. I believe this team plugged all the right holes in the off season and cannot wait for kickoff. What do you think?

I think I want to see the team in training camp, but this group is capable.

Forgive me if asked before, but who do you think would be in the alltime Arizona Cardinals foursome?
My take would be Coach Whiz, Steve Beuerlein, Neil Lomax and Al DelGreco.

Just read this, but on yahoo sports they ranked every team at the LB position. They ranked AZ 31st out of 32. Wow. Might want to pass that along to the boys to give them a little extra motivation to show people they still have a bunch left in the tank.
