Campbell, Toler sit out

Posted by Darren Urban on November 25, 2010 – 12:03 pm

DE Calais Campbell (ankle) and CB Greg Toler (foot) were the two Cardinals to sit out practice Thursday as the Cards had an abbreviated Thanksgiving workout. Six other Cards were limited: CB Michael Adams (ribs), WR Steve Breaston (knee), DT Darnell Dockett (shoulder), WR Early Doucet (head), LB Clark Haggans (groin) and RB LaRod Stephens-Howling (hamstring). S Kerry Rhodes (hand/back) and LB Reggie Walker (hamstring) were both listed but practiced full.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said the extra day of practice is less about doing extra and more about spreading two days of work over three days “which is just a way to keep the guys in tune to what we are doing.”

We’ll have more tomorrow. Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone.

darren-it is really the ultimate sign that you bleed cardinal red being your doing a blog on thanksgiving day. I am glad there are fans like me out there. Do you right now believe the cards are bad enough this year to get a top ten pick? And if so do you think if derek anderson fails to prove being a solid qb do think we draft qb with a top ten pick?

    RE: QB

I think the 49ers game will go a long way in determining the rest of the season. A loss makes things very ugly. A win may end up getting them enough momentum to get out of the top 10.

    RE: DRC at WR

I don’t think it would be a regular thing, no.

I’m not too excited about the CArds anymore. The Bidwells, Graves and Whiz screwed us this year. They could have done so much more in the off season and preseason to prepare our team far better than htis.

Thanks Darren for all your up dates. We were done before the season started. We lucked out with a great qb and a better d.c. and we had a o.c., that let our head coach be a head coach. We went to the bowl !! Man we rocked and rolled. Then we lost our d.c. and o.c..However, we still had a great qb and got to the second round of the playoffs. Then we lost our qb,and the greed set in and graves and whiz rewarded themselves well. Now our great receivers are next, they are not stupid they want to win, that is surely not going to happen here. The Bidwells will not pay out to get us a great qb. That is a very bad way to get valve out of the team. Coach whiz is a great head coach, when he is just a head coach, his ego will not step back and fix this. It will aways be someone elses fault. Our defense has no leader, we don’t even draft well anymore. The truth is when we can fix these thing we have a chance and please with this guy’s ego, the answer is never.
