Roof to be open for Rams game

Posted by Darren Urban on December 4, 2010 – 10:59 am

The Cardinals have announced the roof of University of Phoenix Stadium will be open for Sunday’s game against the Rams. It will be the first time this season and the 12th time since the Cardinals moved into the building (in the 38th regular-season game) that it will be open. In the previous 11 outings, the Cardinals have won six times, all coming in the last seven times the sky has been visible from within the stadium.

I bet the only reason that it will be open is because it’s going to be a bit cloudy. That way all the people on the east side of the stadium won’t complain that the sun is in their eyes.

The forecast calls for 2 mph gusts from the SW. I can here the DA postgame speech now, “the wind, the sun, ok never mind i just suck.”

What are ur thoughts Darren do u see the Cards cutting Derek A in the offseason cuz the season is over as far as playoffs are concern Now I guess the only thing left is to finish up as strong as possible and prepare for next season.

    RE: QB move

It’s possible. But he’s not going anywhere until they have others in place, and that could take a while if the new CBA isn’t reached.

Well if that is the case, now is the time to develop one of your young Qb’s if they see a future at all in either one of them. If not than play the man who gives you the best chance in winning. Even if it is DA. The cards should call Philly and ask them to trade for 3rd string and rookie Qb Mike Kafka from Northwesteren Univ. This young man is a a leader and real good. With Vick and K.c in front of him. AZ would be a great place to come and win a job!

I’m not sure when the Cards cut Derek A., but whoever Ken W. says is “Our Guy” really ought to be worried. Hey Darren, during the offseason would you please ask Ken W. who “Our Guy” is?

Sorry Darren, I caught a rare typo on your blog headline “Roof to be open for Rams game”.
It should have read ” Opposing WRs, gaping STL OL holes and visiting endzone to be open for Rams game”.
I don’t know how it got past the editing process.

If the ESPN Playoff Machine is correct, the Cards lose this week and Seattle wins, AZ is mathematically eliminated.
However, in this weak division, IF the Cards crap out 8-8 it’s a good possibilty to have their third consecutive crown.
So here’s to keeping it one game at a time while focusing on the remaining schedule.

At least there won’t be snow, then they’d throw a fit. I can hear it already, “Obviously, the weather had an affect on things, but we just got to prepare better and adapt.” Hope for a win, ftw?

Why open the roof and force god to watch this game? Haha, couldn’t resist.

Sold my tix for the Rams game. Playing golf instead today. Last week was brutal to watch in person. Maybe I can muster up the interest to go back next week against Denver.

Arian Peterson 4-0 in 1,000 yard rushing seasons, Beanie is 0-2. Good job cards, keep these picks coming! We should go after Dan orlovsky next year or John Kitna as our starting QB.

    RE: Backup QB

    It is Hall.

  24. By tRiGiDy on Dec 5, 2010 | Reply

Andrew Luck Should be are pick But, A.J Green is too Talented to Pass if he is there!! An Luck is not?? Pass on Jake Locker he should have came out last year! An Draft Project Cam Newton to backup Skelton’

I think we are going to need A.J.Green just in case Fitz walks, An if Fitz dont walk he has a Partner in Crime. Like he had in Bolden!! (Steve an Early) cant fill Bolden’s shoes at all! Lets face it!

A.J Green is going to be the Best WR too come out since Fitz, A.Johnson an Megatron

    Thanks Darren lets go BigRed!!

Darren, tell the Front Office A.Luck, A.J Green, or The Prince’ of Corners

The way i see it the all look good in Red’

  26. By MichaelAZ on Dec 5, 2010 | Reply

We have to get Andrew Luck or Ryan Mallet! Go Cards!

  27. By tRiGiDy on Dec 5, 2010 | Reply

Oh Darren, just read that Fitz missed Bolden?? who Doesn’t

But if we get Larry a A.J. Green, He will be so so happy to be a Card again!!
An D’s cant Over – Under Fitz!! (All Game)

Plus if I was Larry Fitz I would rather play with A AJ Green then a Bolden an I miss Q, but AJ Green is a Life Saver! after this 2010

If we don’t get Green, Fitz is going to be a Raven! ask Fitz

They opened it so God can watch us get out ass’s Handed to us!! I love my cards but its time to think about the future & just lose so we can have a top draft pick & hopefully land Cam Newton or Luck!!
