Washington questionable; Butler out

Posted by Darren Urban on September 16, 2011 – 12:41 pm

Linebacker Daryl Washington (calf) missed practice for a third straight day but he is listed as questionable for Sunday. Same goes for running back LaRod Stephens-Howling (hand) and wide receiver DeMarco Sampson (hamstring), who missed practice but are questionable.

The only two players already out are tight end Jim Dray (pectoral) and cornerback Crezdon Butler (ankle), who hurt himself in practice Thursday and it could be serious.

Everyone else is healthy enough to play, including linebacker Joey Porter (knee) and punter Dave Zastudil (calf).

And with that, it’s time to head downstairs and hop on the bus. Time to fly to D.C.

Oh no. I thought he was a great addition to the secondary and he should know the schemes. Darren, does Butler do a Whiz impersonation. Here is his Tomlin:

Funny guy. Hope he gets well fast. Sad news.

Hey Darren– We will see if the Card’s hold out their players that are questionable this week. No sense to push them this early in the season. The key this week is to play a nice clean road game really limiting penalties and turnovers. I have a feeling for some reason it will be a low scoring affair– I’m going Card’s 23 Skins 17! Do you see Reggie Walker getting the bulk of the work in place of Washington if he doesn’t go??? or do you think Bradley will play some???

    RE: Walker/Bradley

I think Bradley would get his shot this week.

Cards lose 35-10! Tim hightower has a monster game. Redskins defense is a lot better than the panthers especially there secondary!

What’s the latest news on Butler? I was really excited to see him play with the Cards. Is it serious?

I don’t think it looks good, but I’m sure we we know more soon. I would guess, with the game looming, Monday would be the latest.

Hightower converts a 3rd and goal with 2 minutes left as the skins take it 31-27.

Come on now…Hightower fumbles with one minute left to seal the win for the Cards 27-21, his second of the day….

LOL@Bostonjohn I forgot about his fumbling problems. I’m glad we don’t have to worry about that anymore. Maybe we can get at least one turnover from Hightower. I think the Cards can actually pull this off with a 24-17 win. The defense will play a lot better this week. The win will be in a Cardiac Cards style though, nothing impressively decisive.

My prediction: TIm Hightower runs for 94 yards, but also has 3 fumbles for 12 total negative yards = 82 net yards. Sorry, Tim. You were good, but you wreaked havoc on my nerves for years as a Cardinal. Now its time you gave some fumbles back to the community!

You are NUTS. You think the Skins have a better D than the PANTHERS!?!?!? Here, do us all a favor, do some RESEARCH, because you just stuck your foot in your mouth. Last year, the Skins’ D was ranked 31st, second WORST in the entire NFL. The Panthers was ranked the 18th, so almost better than half the league. The reason why the Panthers were worst last year is cuz they had no offense.

We, the Red Sea Cardinals, are going to kill the Skins. Cards- 31 points, Skins 16 points. GO CARDS!!!

    Check out the stats yourself:

my prediction, giants lose again this week, if they lost to a dysfunctional perrenial loser like the redskins they must be horrible.

    cards 35-redskins 17

hightoower gives the ball up in third quarter with redskins still in reach.

    fitz goes over 120 yards.

    beanie gets a hundred.

    Peterson gets a pick.

Darren says something mean on twitter to a dumb question.

I think what we need r capable defensive backs, out def. backs could’t defend a high school team. Patrick Peterson bad pick, all the teams r just going to pass on us and we can’t stop them………..
