Keith to IR; Green up as Peterson insurance
Posted by on December 31, 2011 – 11:01 amWith the status of cornerback Patrick Peterson uncertain — Peterson will be a game day decision — the Cardinals covered their bases Saturday by promoting cornerback Marshay Green from the practice squad. To make room for Green, the Cards officially put tackle Brandon Keith on injured reserve. Keith had already been declared out of Sunday’s game.
Green was on the roster for the final six games of 2010 as a rookie, but was inactive every week.

Would of rather seen Lindsey brought up as we’ve seen Marshay on the field before and yet to see when Lindsey can do. (Even if its pretty unlikely that Marshay would get playing time anyways)

do you think there are some chances to see the new tackle(dj young) having some playing time?

RE: DJ Young
I would doubt that.

If Peterson doesn’t play, any chance of Green returning punts, instead of Roberts?
Really liked Marshay at training camp the last two seasons as a returner.

RE: punt returns
I would anticipate it being Roberts.

if Peterson plays would he do return’s or just corner work?

RE: PP role
My guess is, if he is made active, he’d have all his normal duties.

Hey Darren–Happy New Year–I hope the team plays well-so we can go 8-8. We have to control Lybch in the Seattle running game–he is having a big year. These 2 teams started slow but came on in the 2nd half of the year. Hey Darren–Did you notice Andre Robert’s in practice if he was fielding any punts??? He would be the guy if Peterson can’t go??? Right???

RE: IR for one game
Easiest way to clear a roster spot. Going to be paying the IR salary anyway.

RE: Fitz Facebook
I wouldn’t necessarily count on the FB page being run by Larry himself.

John Skelton has shown his late game heroics since his very first preseason game. Just saying.

Darren,
Is Crezdon Butler still in the Cards plan? If so, do you know how he’s progressing with his broken ankle? Thanks
