Charity, food and the Cardinals

Over the next week or so, there are three upcoming events that allow fans to give some money to charity while at the same time, enjoying some meals with the Cardinals.

— Tomorrow is Larry Fitzgerald’s annual celebrity Servers Charity Dinner, which benefits Fitz’s foundation, and will be held at Morton’s The Steakhouse (15233 N. Kierland Boulevard) in Scottsdale. Cards players and coaches are among the servers there to deliver the meal to patrons. For more information, call 480-951-4440.

— On Sept. 3, Calais Campbell will host his own charity dinner for his foundation, out at Fleming’s in Chandler. For more information, you can call 303-596-9431 or go to

— Finally, there is the Cardinals’ own kickoff luncheon, which will be held at University of Phoenix Stadium this Wednesday (August 29) at 11 a.m. Not only is there food and a chance to meet the whole roster, but also a silent auction. For information, call 602-379-1691.

this seems like the perfect place to ask about Duece Lutui who was just released from the Sea chickens, can we have him back darren can we can we? I love that guy. I think all these charity dinners are just the cardinals way of trying to get him back.

Just saw the report scrolling on NFL Netwrok that Whiz is un-decided on how he will use the QB’s in the last pre-season game. Un-friggin-believable. I had to laugh when I saw that and it made me think that others are probably laughing, too. A mere few years removed from almost winning the SB and here we are again, back to being a joke.

Here, we have had one more pre-season game than 30 other teams, and we STILL have no idea who our QB is. Well, if that is not clear statement of ineptitude, then I don’t know what is. To say that that does not bode well would be an under-statement of epic proportions.

Since the day a QB named Warner left town, this team has been an absolute JOKE at the QB position. For the 2nd time in 3 years, we are alternating starters and getting nowhere. Perhaps the lockout last year was the only thing preventing a 3rd consecutive year. Not only are we a joke at the position, we are a joke for how utterly inept we are at evaluating the position.

Don’t even know what else to say.

    RE: Undecided

Let’s just settle down. That’s what Whiz said Friday afternoon, after spending the day telling a bunch of players they were cut. I’m sure it’s not the same as of Sunday night. He just hasn’t talked to the media since then. And if you think Whiz is telling the world everything he is thinking with this, I have some beachfront property in Tempe to sell you.

Thank you for putting Scott H in his place. I am as frustrated as anybody with this but any true fan knows that Whiz is not going to give reporters even the slightest hint of what he’s thinking until it’s official. Which in my opinion is the way to go. The last thing we need is a thousand articles blowing one little comment out of proportion. He keeps his “cards” close to the vest and for good reason. Glad you have his back.
