Fitz Loves being the barber

As breast cancer awareness month continues, almost everyone is aware that it’s a cause near and dear to Larry Fitzgerald’s heart after his mother Carol passed away from the disease when Fitz was in college. He’s at the forefront of many initiatives to aid breast cancer research. Sometimes, it’s done on a more organic level — or at least, as organic as one pro athlete superstar bringing in another pro athlete superstar to raise awareness can be.

We all know Fitz loves him some Minnesota, so it was no surprise that Fitz teamed up with Kevin Love, superstar forward for the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves, for a viral video done to raise awareness and money. Love allows Fitz to shave his head — of course, Fitz is a man of many talents — for the video that as it is spread over social media will generate money for the cause.

Of course, the real headlines would be made if Fitz let Love shave his head. But Fitz loves his hair. Don’t see that happening anytime soon.

“I have grown my hair out in honor of my mom,” Fitzgerald said. “It’s kind of my silent tribute to her.” Fitz did say he will cut his hair someday. Just not now.

As for the video, “Kevin is a tremendous humanitarian,” Fitz said. “He has a close family friend who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer so he knows what I have been through. I was happy to do it, hopefully raise some money.”

But, Fitz added, “I am going to keep my day job as long as possible.”

Great Story, now i can relax that i know about his hair.
Wow, with the Monday Nite football game coming up and a make it or break it game for the Cards, i wonder if you could have written about something else.

Hey Darren, I have 3 Questions:
-1) Who are the Cardinals looking at to replace Batiste or Massie on the O-Line?

The main reason why our team has lost 3 straight was because of the fact that the Offensive Line is struggling. Our run stopping defense has been struggling too but I believe with the return of Reggie Walker and the Monday Night game would help prepare the Cardinals against the power house Frank Gore.

-2) Are the Cardinals even looking at the option of trading for a good Offensive Tackle?

I knew the Idea of trading for T Joe Thomas was impossible but it would be a drastic improvement to get a tackle with his capabilities.

-3) Will the Cardinals try to start T Nate Potter with the struggles of Massie and Batiste?

The Cardinals don’t really have a clear idea of what he can do so he might be a huge improvement to the Offensive Line.

    RE: Questions

    1) Right now, options are few. McQuistan was re-signed but I don’t see him stepping into the lineup.
    2) I don’t know. Not sure there is anyone on the market right now.
    3) I would think that might be an option at some point, but Potter was very raw in camp.

Seriously? You’re going to give Darren crap for writing a few short paragraphs about two great athletes doing work to raise awareness and money for breast cancer, during breast cancer awareness month??? I think Darren has written a few articles about the game, too, if you care to look around the site.
