King out, Williams in versus Chargers

Posted by Darren Urban on August 24, 2013 – 5:55 pm

Tight end Jeff King (knee) is not going to play tonight after going through a limited practice Thursday. But running back Ryan Williams will play tonight — we’ll see how many snaps he’ll get. Actually, almost everyone will be available for the Cardinals, an impressive feat this deep in the preseason and perhaps indicative of the importance of the third preseason game. Here is the very short list of players not going tonight besides King:

— QB Caleb TerBush (undisclosed)

— WR Jarrett Dillard (concussion – there was a report earlier he has reached an injury settlement with the team, nothing official yet)

— LB Dan Giordano (PUP – toe)

— T Joe Caprioglio (foot)

Except for King, do any of these players stand a chance of making the team?

One word on this game “UGLY” and Powers you look really bad

Wow! I know it is only preseason but man the guys just look unfocused and very sloppy. Defense giving up to many big plays and the offense well just ugly.

One word, UGLY. Not only that, but potentially having a plethora of injuries to our starters really adds insult to injury…..

Powers was being picked on all night by the refs for playing the ball. Three pass interference calls on one player? Seems a little nuts. I saw very similar plays on the San Diego side that didn’t get called.

Why is King still on this team? He and R. Williams are two peas in a pod.

if they keep flagging him,he has to make an adjustment, just doing the same thing gets the same result.
hope we keep williams and ease him in,we need to do something different at db,it’s not working, housler needs to seperate himself from the pack,we have better blockers but we need the recieving threat.
when regular play starts i think we’ll see more stretching the field, been too many dink and dump plays.once that happens it should open the door for rb’s to show their speed.

For a minute there… I thought I was watching a reply of a game last year with Whiz coaching….

Lindley looks like he has improved his QB play from last year. A great catch on the TD pass by Floyd.

The Cards better get their act together in the next two weeks…. or it is going to be another ugly year.
