Cardinals add a cornerback

The Cards have replaced the released Alfonzo Dennard on the roster, signing cornerback Shaquille Richardson Friday. Richardson, who played at the University of Arizona, was a fifth-round pick by the Steelers last season. He was cut by the Steelers by the end of the preseason, spending time on Pittsburgh’s practice squad. He was briefly signed by the Chiefs earlier this offseason but was released in April.

Richardson is here with the team. Not sure yet if he will participate in the conditioning test later today.

Darren – are there any restrictions on cameras allowed for spectators during training camp? If I come in on Sunday, can I bring my relatively gigantic lens to take a few shots from the stands or will I forced to leave it behind?

    RE: Camera

Pretty sure if it’s a lens that you can carry (and not use a monopod) you should be OK.

Is there any specific reason why Dennard was released, or is this simply churning the roster? Thanks.

    RE: Dennard

Guess is he didn’t quite fit. Didn’t have big size, not really a man-to-man corner.
