With a late game-winning 47-yard field goal against the Vikings — and three field goals overall — kicker Chandler Catanzaro was named NFC special teams player of the week. It was the third time Cat Man earned such an honor. He got it twice as a rookie last season. He has made 25 of 27 field goals this season, and has hit late game-winners twice in the past month (he booted the game-winner against the Bengals.) Catanzaro already has 119 points this season.
Those 119 points are tied for third-best in a season in team history. Neil Rackers had 119 during the Cardinals’ 2008 Super Bowl season. Jay Feely had 127 points in 2013, while Rackers — who at the time had set an NFL record for field goals in a season with 40 — had 140 points in 2005.
